The Girls Football Best & Fairest Award is awarded to a girl (or girls) considered to be the best & fairest within the club from all of our junior teams. The award was introduced in 2015, when there was a concerted effort to develop female participation at our club. That year saw 5 girls from our club join with girls from Pennant Hills & Westbrook Junior AFL Clubs to regularly train together in what was a precursor to the establishment of the North West Lightning. All 5 of these girls were recipients of the award in its inaugural year. The award was then shelved in 2016, with the formation of the first North West Lightning team. A decision was made for the award to be reinstated in 2023.
