DESCRIPTION:Attention all of our Eagles women & girls? Ever thought about coaching? The AFL is hosting a specific Introduction to Coaching Workshop for Women & Girls on Tues 18 July at Frenchs Forest.\n\n\n\n This session is free to attend and tailored to women and girls to gain hands on experience from amazing facilitators/speakers in Kristie Whittard\, Katherine Smith & Alicia Eva to go through the basics of Aussie Rules to help new coaches start their coaching journey!\n\n\n\n Each attendee will receive their very own free coaching starter pack which includes an AFL coaches board\, Tackle Your Feelings cap\, Tackle Your Feelings pen\, She Can Coach notebook and a blue coaching scrunchie.\n\n\n\n To register\, go to https://www.cognitoforms.com/…/WomenGirlsIntroductionTo…\n\n\n\n Further info on Workshop Facilitators/Speakers\n\n\n\n Kristie Whittard – An accomplished coach with a lifetime being around AFL and significant experience coaching at community and elite level. In 2022\, Kristie was named Chemist Warehouse AFLW Community Ambassador in recognition of her significant contribution to the development of grassroots AFL in NSW/ACT. She is well respected within the AFL coaching community and has been sought out as a mentor and advisor by aspiring community coaches.\n\n\n\n Katherine Smith – With experience beyond her years and current GWS Giants AFLW player and former Melbourne Demon. Off the field\, Smith has a love for coaching and is currently involved in the AFLW Talent Academy Coaching Team.\n\n\n\n Alicia Eva – Current GWS Giants player and named vice-captain for the 2018 season and had an outstanding year – named in the 2018 All Australian team and winning the Gabrielle Trainor Medal as the GIANTS’ club champion. Eva was named just the second GIANTS AFLW captain ahead of the 2020 season. She is also a highly regarded coach and continues to work in the club’s Academy\, VFL and AFL programs.
