THANK YOU BROWNE FAMILY!

At our recent presentation day, we recognised the contribution that the Browne Family have made to our football club, as they look to move to Albury ahead of next season.

The Browne family have had continuous involvement with the Hornsby Berowra Eagles (or simply Hornsby Eagles when they first joined the club) for the past 18 years. There have been 8 Browne children play football at the club (Jeremy, Oliver, Nicholas, Rebecca, Damien, Lawrence, Emily & Christopher); 6 of whom have played at least 50 games for the club and 3 over 150 games for the club. 4 family members are life members of our football club – Adrian, Oliver, Jeremy & Nicholas.

Adrian & Hannah have both been highly involved at the Eagles over these years. Adrian was hugely influential in the “rebuild” of the club in the late 2000s & early 2010s – this included establishing various joint ventures to allow older kids to continue to play footy and also the beginning of an alliance with Westbrook and Pennant Hills for girls footy, which eventually became the North West Lightning. Adrian was a coach & committee member for many years and president of the football club in 2013 & 2014. Adrian is also a life member of AFL Sydney Juniors in recognition for his work at an association level. We have the Adrian Browne Leadership Award named after him at the club. Hannah was also highly involved with the club in many ways and ran the canteen for many years. She was awarded the club presidents award in 2015.

We wish the Brownes all the very best with their move & there is going to be one lucky football club in Albury with some new players on their books next year! The Brownes will always be welcome at Rofe Park whenever they find themselves in Sydney.

Thank you Brownes!
